About the section

This collection is the resultant efforts of collaboration with the International Science Council. This collection aims to broaden and deepen the public understanding of the findings of scientific research and the global public value of science as a whole including its impact on collective sense-making and policy. The collection covers two integral topics: Making sense of science and Sense making in science and brings together leading voices for a dedicated series of opinion pieces on ‘making sense of science in the 21st century’.
