Future of COP
About the section
This collection was ignited with Sandrine Dixon-Decleve’s commentary, ‘We need an urgent reform to our COP’s to enable real climate action’. Sandrine Dixon-Decleve calls for action and urgency around the climate goals set at COPs as the current consortium format of COP often leads to “incremental and slow moving” climate action, which does not align with the rapidly growing climate crisis. Respondents such as Jane Madgwick Executive Director of the Global Commons Alliance, Salvatore Arico CEO of the International Science Council, and Paolo Vineis Professor of Environmental Epidemiology at Imperial College London offer timely and insightful commentary, expanding upon the discussion around climate action and COP reform.
